How many seats does a Smart city car have?

The Smart fortwo has two seats and the forfour has four, with five doors. Both are rear-engined city cars.

Is a Smart safe despite being so small?

The Smart uses the Tridion safety cell, a steel structure that protects occupants like a cage. Even so, in a crash with a much heavier car its low mass is still a disadvantage.

Is a small Smart suitable for the motorway?

It copes with occasional trips, but the short wheelbase makes it sensitive to crosswinds. The 453-generation fortwo and forfour are steadier and quieter than earlier ones.
