Is the SEAT Leon 2.0 TDI a good engine?

The 2.0 TDI is robust and suits drivers who cover long distances on the open road. On cars used mostly in town, the particulate filter and EGR valve are the points to check.

Were SEAT TDI engines affected by the emissions scandal?

The 1.6 and 2.0 TDI of the EA189 family, fitted between 2009 and 2015, were recalled for a software update. A record of that work should come with the car.

How much IUC road tax does a diesel SEAT pay in Portugal?

A diesel SEAT registered since 2007 pays IUC on engine size and CO2 emissions, plus the surcharge applied to diesel cars. A 2.0 TDI therefore pays more than a 1.0 TSI.
