Question 1

Is the battery included when buying a used Renault Zoe?

Accepted Answer

Not always: many Zoe were sold with the battery rented separately under a monthly contract. Ask the seller for the battery paperwork and, if it is rented, check how the contract passes to the new owner.

Question 2

Can older Renault diesels drive in central Lisbon?

Accepted Answer

Lisbon has a zone of reduced emissions (ZER) in the centre where older vehicles face restrictions. Check the car's emissions standard against the city council's current rules before buying for daily trips downtown.

Question 3

Which Renault suits Lisbon traffic best?

Accepted Answer

The Clio and Captur are easy to park in narrow streets, and the E-Tech hybrid versions cut consumption in stop-start traffic. For a daily commute across the bridges over the Tagus, a dCi diesel remains economical.

Question 4

What paperwork comes with a used Renault in Lisbon?

Accepted Answer

The transfer is registered at the Registo Automóvel, and the seller should show proof that the IUC is paid and a valid IPO certificate where the car's age requires one. A dealer sale also carries a legal guarantee that a private sale does not.
