Question 1

What should I check on a used Porsche Taycan?

Accepted Answer

Confirm whether it has the standard Performance Battery or the larger Performance Battery Plus, since that decides range. Ask for a battery state-of-health report and look at the tyres and brakes, which wear quickly on a heavy, powerful car.

Question 2

Is the electric Macan a version of the petrol Macan?

Accepted Answer

No. The electric Macan is a separate car on a dedicated electric platform, not the earlier petrol Macan with a battery. The fuel type on the registration certificate confirms which one you are looking at.

Question 3

How quickly does a Porsche Taycan charge?

Accepted Answer

Its 800-volt system lets it charge quickly on high-power DC chargers, while slower public points and home wallboxes take far longer. On the Mobi.E network, check each charger's power before planning a long trip.

Question 4

Does the Porsche battery warranty pass to the next owner?

Accepted Answer

The battery warranty stays with the car, so a used Taycan or electric Macan keeps whatever remains of it. The date of first registration shows how much is left, and a Porsche Centre can confirm it along with the battery's condition.

Question 5

Why consider an imported electric Porsche in Portugal?

Accepted Answer

A battery-electric car pays no ISV when imported, a tax that weighs heavily on large petrol engines, and no IUC afterwards. Registration at the Registo Automóvel follows the usual import process.
