Which is the best automatic gearbox in the Peugeot 208?

The eight-speed EAT8 torque converter is the smoothest and the most common in the second generation. In the first generation, the EAT6 is the better choice over the ETG automated manual.

Is the Peugeot 208 ETG gearbox a true automatic?

No. The ETG is an automated manual with a single clutch that jerks between gears and wears its clutch. On a test drive, notice whether it hesitates when pulling away and while manoeuvring.

Does the Peugeot e-208 have an automatic gearbox?

The electric e-208 has no gears: it uses a single reduction ratio and drives like an automatic. There is no gearbox to fail, but the battery's condition is worth checking.
