Question 1

What should I check on a used Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV?

Accepted Answer

Ask a Mitsubishi dealer for a reading of the battery's capacity, since electric range shrinks as the battery ages. Make sure the charging cable comes with the car and that both the standard socket and, where fitted, the CHAdeMO rapid-charging port work.

Question 2

Is a Mitsubishi L200 registered as a passenger car or a commercial vehicle?

Accepted Answer

It depends on the version, and the category on the registration certificate decides the IUC and the IPO schedule, which differ between the two. Check it before buying, along with whether the insurance quote matches that category.

Question 3

Why do some recent Mitsubishis resemble Renaults?

Accepted Answer

Through the Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi alliance, the latest Colt and ASX are based on the Renault Clio and Captur and use Renault engines. Mechanically they have much in common with those cars, while older Mitsubishis are the brand's own designs.
