Mercedes SLK or C-Class Cabriolet: which should I choose?

The SLK and SLC are two-seat roadsters whose hard top makes a quiet closed car in winter. The C-Class Cabriolet has a fabric roof and four seats, more practical for a family.

What should I check on the roof of a used Mercedes convertible?

Open and close the roof several times and make sure it moves fully without pauses, since hydraulic pumps and sensors are costly repairs. Look for damp in the carpets and boot, a sign of worn seals.

Does a Mercedes convertible cope with the Portuguese sun?

Yes, but the fabric and seals suffer after years of strong sun, and leather seats can crack. A faded or torn roof is a cost to take off the price.
