What is the difference between the Kia Picanto and the Rio?

The Picanto is a shorter city car, built for town and easy parking. The Rio is larger, with more rear and boot space, and engines that are more at ease on the motorway.

Does the Kia Picanto come with an automatic gearbox?

Yes, depending on the generation: some had a four-speed automatic and, more recently, an AMT automated manual. The AMT shifts more slowly than a conventional automatic, so it is worth a test drive.

Which Kia Picanto generation should I buy used?

The Picanto from 2017 on is roomier, better equipped and the most likely to still have factory warranty. The 2011 to 2017 generation is cheaper and mechanically simple, with the same 1.0 and 1.2 engines.
