Which Hyundai petrol engine is the most reliable?

Hyundai's naturally aspirated MPi engines, such as the 1.0 and 1.2 in the i10 and i20, are the simplest and most reliable. With no turbo or direct injection, there is less to go wrong.

Is the Hyundai 1.0 T-GDi a good engine?

Hyundai's 1.0 T-GDi is a capable three-cylinder turbo used in the i20, i30 and Kauai. It needs the right oil specification and timely changes, like any direct-injection turbo.

Hyundai petrol or diesel: which should I choose?

For low annual mileage, a petrol Hyundai is the sensible choice. Diesel only pays off with lots of motorway driving and has left several models in recent generations.
