Question 1

Does the Hyundai warranty transfer to a used buyer?

Accepted Answer

Yes, the manufacturer warranty stays with the car for the rest of its term, provided it has been serviced to schedule. Ask for the service record and the original start date of the warranty.

Question 2

How can I tell if a Hyundai was used for TVDE?

Accepted Answer

Ride-hailing cars cover many kilometres in a short time, so a young car with very high mileage is the first sign. Ask the seller directly, and check the service history and the condition of the driver's seat and rear seats.

Question 3

Is a hybrid or an electric Hyundai better for Lisbon?

Accepted Answer

A full hybrid such as the Ioniq or Kauai hybrid suits city traffic with no need to charge. An electric Kauai or Ioniq 5 is cheaper to run if you can charge at home or at work. Check the battery's condition on any electrified car.

Question 4

Are imported Hyundais common?

Accepted Answer

Some used Hyundais are brought in from other European countries. An imported car pays ISV before it can be registered in Portugal, so check whether that is already included in the price.
