Question 1

Is a diesel T-Roc still a sensible buy in France?

Accepted Answer

A TDI suits high annual mileage and long motorway runs. It carries a Crit'Air 2 sticker, however, whereas petrol versions get Crit'Air 1, so check the current rules of any low-emission zone you drive into before choosing a diesel.

Question 2

Which T-Roc versions have all-wheel drive?

Accepted Answer

4Motion all-wheel drive came with the more powerful engines and is standard on the T-Roc R. Most T-Rocs on the road are front-wheel drive, so check the badge and the registration details rather than assuming.

Question 3

What changed with the T-Roc's 2022 facelift?

Accepted Answer

The update brought a redesigned dashboard with softer materials, a larger touchscreen and revised lights. Earlier cars were often criticised for hard plastics inside, which shows when the two are compared side by side.

Question 4

What paperwork should I get when buying a T-Roc in France?

Accepted Answer

The seller hands over the carte grise crossed through, dated and signed, together with a certificat de cession. For a car over four years old, the contrôle technique must also be less than six months old.
