Which petrol engines do used Skodas have?

Most recent Skodas use Volkswagen Group TSI turbo engines: a three-cylinder 1.0 in smaller models, a 1.5 with cylinder deactivation in the Octavia, Karoq and Kodiaq, and a 2.0 in the RS versions. Older cars carry the 1.2 and 1.4 TSI.

What should I check on a Skoda 1.2 TSI petrol?

On early 1.2 TSI engines from around 2010 to 2012, listen for a rattle at cold start, a sign of a stretched timing chain. Later versions switched to a timing belt, which needs replacing at the interval in the service book.

Which Crit'Air sticker does a petrol Skoda get?

A petrol Skoda meeting Euro 5 or Euro 6, broadly those registered from 2011, gets Crit'Air 1, while an older Euro 4 one gets Crit'Air 2. The sticker decides access to French low-emission zones.
