Question 1

What is the difference between a Vito panel van, Mixto and Tourer?

Accepted Answer

The panel van has two or three seats up front and a closed load area, the Mixto adds a second row of seats behind the cab, and the Tourer is a passenger version with up to nine seats. The more luxurious passenger sibling is sold as the V-Class.

Question 2

Does a Vito registered as a utility have extra inspections?

Accepted Answer

Yes. A light commercial vehicle registered as a camionnette needs the contrôle technique every two years like a car, plus an extra emissions check in the years between. Ask for both reports when buying.

Question 3

Which Crit'Air sticker does a diesel Vito get?

Accepted Answer

Diesel Vitos meeting Euro 5 or Euro 6 get Crit'Air 2, older ones a higher class, and the electric eVito gets Crit'Air 0. That matters for vans making deliveries into city centres with a low-emission zone.

Question 4

What should I check on a Vito used for work?

Accepted Answer

Look at the load area, sliding doors and any racking or fit-out, since daily loading wears them hard. High mileage is normal for these vans, so the maintenance invoices say more than the odometer alone.
