Question 1

Does the Hyundai warranty transfer to a second owner?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Hyundai's five-year, unlimited-mileage warranty in France stays with the car, provided servicing followed the manufacturer's schedule. The first registration date and the service book show how much remains.

Question 2

Which Hyundai SUV powertrain should I choose?

Accepted Answer

The full hybrid never needs plugging in and suits mixed driving; the plug-in hybrid pays off if you can charge at home and make short daily trips. Both carry the Crit'Air 1 sticker, while Hyundai's fully electric SUVs get the green one.

Question 3

What should I check on an early Hyundai Kona Electric?

Accepted Answer

Early Kona Electric models were subject to a battery recall, so ask for proof that the work was done at a Hyundai workshop. A battery health report is worth having on any used electric car as well.

Question 4

What makes the Hyundai Ioniq 5 different?

Accepted Answer

Its 800-volt electrical system allows very fast charging on compatible high-power chargers. It is a larger, flat-floored crossover with a sliding centre console, built on Hyundai's dedicated electric platform.
