Which Crit'Air sticker does a used diesel Ford get?

A Euro 6 diesel Ford, generally registered from September 2015, gets Crit'Air 2. Euro 5 and Euro 4 diesels get Crit'Air 3, which several French low-emission zones restrict.

What should I check on a used Ford EcoBlue diesel?

Check that the AdBlue system works without warning lights, as a faulty AdBlue tank or heater can end in a no-start warning. Also make sure the particulate filter has not been removed, which fails the contrôle technique.

Is a diesel Ford Focus still worth buying in France?

A diesel Focus makes sense for drivers who cover long distances, as it is economical on the motorway. For short urban trips, the particulate filter may clog, and a petrol EcoBoost is usually the better choice.
