Question 1

Which engines did the European Mustang get?

Accepted Answer

The sixth generation sold in Europe from 2015 came with a 5.0 V8 and a 2.3 four-cylinder EcoBoost. The seventh generation, launched in 2024, is offered in Europe with the V8.

Question 2

Why does a Mustang cost so much to register in France?

Accepted Answer

The regional tax on the carte grise is charged per fiscal horsepower, and a V8 has a great many. A Mustang imported and registered in France for the first time also pays the malus écologique, which falls with the car's age.

Question 3

Is a Mustang bought in the United States worth it?

Accepted Answer

A car built for the American market differs in lighting and other approval details, and registering it in France needs an individual approval, the réception à titre isolé. A European-market Mustang avoids that step.

Question 4

Can a Mustang enter low-emission zones in France?

Accepted Answer

A European-market petrol Mustang gets Crit'Air 1, which most low-emission zones accept. On an older import, check the Euro standard in the papers, since it decides the sticker.

Question 5

Is the Mustang Mach-E the same car?

Accepted Answer

No, the Mach-E is an electric SUV that shares only the name with the sports car. Drivetrain, body and running costs have nothing in common.
