What does VZ mean on a Cupra?

VZ, from the Spanish 'veloz', marks the most powerful Cupra versions, with the 2.0 TSI of 300 hp or more. They add firmer suspension and uprated brakes, so check tyres and brakes closely on a used one.

Which Cupra petrol engine is cheapest to run in France?

The 1.5 TSI and eTSI engines are the most economical Cupra petrols and carry fewer fiscal horsepower than the 2.0 TSI. In France the carte grise price depends on fiscal horsepower and region, so a VZ costs noticeably more to register.

Which Crit'Air sticker does a petrol Cupra get?

Every petrol Cupra gets the Crit'Air 1 sticker, as the brand only dates from 2018 and its cars meet Euro 6. That opens every French low-emission zone without restriction.
