How many gears does the SEAT León manual have?

Five or six depending on the engine, with six on the TDIs and the more powerful TSIs. On the Mk4, the eTSI and e-Hybrid come with a DSG only.

What should I check on the clutch of a manual SEAT León TDI?

TDIs use a dual-mass flywheel, which when worn causes vibration and a metallic rattle at idle or on switching off. On a test drive, pull away in second and make sure the clutch does not slip.

Was the SEAT León FR sold with a manual gearbox?

Yes, the FR came with a manual on several TSI and TDI engines, with firmer suspension and sporty trim. The most powerful Cupras mostly use a DSG.
