Why is there no diesel Nissan Qashqai after 2021?

The third-generation J12, launched in 2021, dropped diesel for electrified petrol engines. A used diesel Qashqai is therefore always a J10 or a J11.

What should I check on a used Nissan Qashqai 1.6 dCi?

On the 1.6 dCi, check the particulate filter and EGR valve, which suffer from short trips. On Xtronic versions, the gearbox fluid change should appear in the service history.

Does a diesel Nissan Qashqai pay more IUC in Portugal?

Yes, diesel cars pay an IUC surcharge on top of the tax worked out from engine size and CO2 emissions. For high-mileage drivers, the lower fuel use usually makes up for it.
