What is Kia's iMT gearbox?

It is a six-speed manual with an electronically controlled clutch, fitted to Kia's 48 V mild hybrids such as the Ceed, Stonic and Sportage. It lets the engine shut off while coasting to save fuel, yet drives like an ordinary manual.

Does Kia's 7-year warranty pass to the second owner?

Yes, Kia's 7-year or 150,000 km warranty stays with the car and transfers to new owners, provided servicing followed the maker's schedule. It runs from first registration, so check that date and the service book.

Is a manual Kia cheaper to run than an automatic?

Generally, yes: on Kias the manual gearbox is simpler and cheaper to maintain than the DCT dual-clutch automatic. On fuel, the difference is small in recent models.
