Which diesel engines does the Jaguar F-Pace have?

The diesel F-Pace uses the four-cylinder 2.0 Ingenium in several outputs and the 3.0 V6 in top versions. With the 2020 update, the 2.0 gained a 48 V mild hybrid system.

Does the Jaguar 2.0 Ingenium diesel have problems?

Early Ingenium engines have reports of timing chain wear and fuel diluting the oil, linked to interrupted particulate filter regenerations. Frequent oil changes and longer journeys do most to protect the engine.

Is a diesel Jaguar suited to city driving?

Not really, because the particulate filter needs long runs to regenerate and short trips worsen oil dilution. For urban use, a petrol Jaguar or the electric I-Pace fits better.
