Which petrol engine should I choose in a Ford Puma?

The 125 hp 1.0 EcoBoost Hybrid is enough for most drivers, in town and on the motorway. The 155 hp version helps when overtaking or fully loaded, and the Puma ST is for those who want performance.

Is the Ford Puma 1.0 EcoBoost reliable?

Generally, yes, provided it is serviced on time. Its timing belt runs in oil, so check the service book shows the oil Ford specifies and when the belt is due for replacement.

Does the Ford Puma mild hybrid need charging?

No. The small 48-volt battery recharges under braking and coasting and supports the petrol engine. The Puma mild hybrid has no plug and cannot drive on electricity alone.
