How many gears does the Fiat Punto manual have?

Most have a five-speed gearbox. Some stronger Grande Punto and Punto Evo versions have six, which makes motorway driving more relaxed.

Which generations of the Fiat Punto are there?

There was the first Punto of 1993, the second generation of 1999, the Grande Punto of 2005, the Punto Evo of 2009 and the 2012 Punto, built until 2018. The newer ones offer clearly better safety and equipment.

What goes wrong on a manual Fiat Punto?

On the second generation the electric power steering can fail, and on 1.3 Multijet diesels the EGR valve and particulate filter suffer from short trips. On any of them, listen to the gearbox from cold and test the clutch on a hill.
