Question 1

What is the difference between the Dacia Duster and the Bigster?

Accepted Answer

The Bigster is the larger of the two, with more rear legroom and a bigger boot, aimed at families who would otherwise look at a mid-size SUV. The Duster is more compact, and its older generations are easier to find second-hand.

Question 2

Is the Sandero Stepway an SUV?

Accepted Answer

Not quite. The Stepway is a Sandero hatchback with raised suspension and crossover styling, but it is front-wheel drive only and the size of a small car. For SUV ground clearance and the option of 4x4, the Duster is the one to look at.

Question 3

Which Dacia SUVs have four-wheel drive?

Accepted Answer

The Duster has offered a 4x4 version in every generation, and the Bigster also comes with four-wheel drive. Look for 4x4 in the version name, since the same body is sold with front-wheel drive too.

Question 4

Are LPG versions of Dacia SUVs worth it?

Accepted Answer

The ECO-G bi-fuel versions run on LPG from the factory and keep petrol as backup, which lowers fuel costs for high mileage. Ask for the gas system's service history before buying.
