Which Dacia petrol engine is best?

For mixed driving, the turbocharged TCe engines are the best compromise: the naturally aspirated 1.0 SCe is fine in town but struggles on hills and motorways. In the heavier Duster and Jogger, the most powerful TCe or the hybrid makes more sense.

Does the Dacia 1.2 TCe have known problems?

The four-cylinder 1.2 TCe fitted to the first-generation Duster earned a reputation for burning oil and wearing its timing chain. On the newer three-cylinder TCe engines, the oil-change history is what matters most.

Is the Dacia ECO-G LPG version worth it?

The ECO-G runs on LPG or petrol, with a factory-fitted LPG tank. Since LPG is cheaper per litre, it pays off for high-mileage drivers with LPG stations on their usual routes.
