What are the advantages of an Audi A3 van?

Registered as a light goods vehicle, the A3 van paid less ISV when new, which made it cheaper than the passenger A3. For companies and the self-employed, the tax treatment of a commercial vehicle can also be an advantage.

Can an Audi A3 van carry rear passengers?

No: the A3 van is approved for two seats only and the rear is a load area. Refitting the rear seats is a change of specification that needs an inspection and may mean paying the ISV difference.

How often does an Audi A3 van need its IPO inspection in Portugal?

As a light goods vehicle, the A3 van has its first IPO two years after registration and then every year. A passenger A3, by contrast, is first inspected at four years.
