General information

General information

Mycarro searches the cars for sale across a whole market at once, so you compare listings from many sellers in one place. This page explains how to search, what the badges on each card mean, and how to have us watch a car or a search for you.

Searching

Start typing in the search box and it suggests brands, models, regions and dealers as you go. Below the suggestions there is a Search with AI action: describe what you want in your own words — "electric estate under €25,000 near Porto" — and we turn it into a search.

Price rating

Every car is compared against similar cars actually on sale — the same kind of vehicle at a comparable mileage — and we work out what the market is asking. The badge on the card tells you how this one compares:

  • Good price — at or below the market price
  • Fair price — above the market price
  • High price — more than 50% above the market price

The percentage beside the badge is the gap itself, so Good price -12% means twelve per cent under what similar cars are asking.

Other badges

  • Promoted — the dealer is featuring this car
  • New or Km 0 — shown only on cars that have never really been driven

Favourites and collections

The heart on a card saves a car straight to your favourites. To sort them, put a car into a named collection — you can keep several, and share one with someone else so you are both looking at the same shortlist.

Price alerts

Favourite a car and we will tell you when something changes: an email and a push notification when the price moves, showing the old and new price, and again if the seller takes it off the market.

Saved searches

Save a search and we will check it for you every hour. When cars matching it appear, you get a notification telling you how many — so a search you set up once keeps working while you get on with something else.

Excluding cars

Not interested in something? Exclude it from your results — just that car, or every car of that model, or the brand entirely. Exclusions show struck through in your selected filters, so you can always undo one.

Expert review

Ask for an expert review of any car and we will read the listing for you, pointing out what stands out and what to check before you commit. The review comes back as a verdict, the main risks, the price, the running costs and what to check before you buy — and you can download it as a PDF.
