How does the Taigo differ from the T-Cross?

Both share the Polo's MQB A0 platform and engines. The Taigo is lower with a sloping coupé roofline, which looks sportier but costs rear headroom; the T-Cross has a sliding rear bench and more upright space.

Is there a diesel or electric Taigo?

No, the Taigo comes only with TSI petrol engines. It therefore carries Crit'Air 1 and is untouched by the diesel restrictions of low-emission zones.

What should I check on a DSG Taigo?

The seven-speed DSG is a dual-clutch gearbox that can judder when pulling away in stop-start traffic. A test drive at walking pace and on a slope shows whether the clutches engage smoothly.

Does a used Taigo need a contrôle technique?

Once a Taigo is more than four years old, the seller must provide a contrôle technique less than six months old. The earliest cars, from 2021, have reached that age.
