Question 1

Is the Toyota Corolla e-CVT reliable?

Accepted Answer

Yes, the e-CVT in the Corolla hybrid has no clutch, belt or torque converter to wear out. It needs little beyond Toyota's scheduled servicing, and the engine revving loudly under hard acceleration is normal rather than a sign of slipping.

Question 2

Which Crit'Air sticker does a Toyota Corolla hybrid get?

Accepted Answer

A petrol Corolla hybrid gets the Crit'Air 1 sticker. It can enter the low-emission zones of French cities and is among the last categories restricted when traffic is limited during pollution peaks.

Question 3

Should I choose the 1.8 or the 2.0 Toyota Corolla hybrid?

Accepted Answer

The 1.8 is enough for town and country roads and uses the least fuel. The more powerful 2.0 suits loaded motorway journeys or a family Touring Sports estate better.

Question 4

What should I check on a used Toyota Corolla hybrid in France?

Accepted Answer

Ask for the latest hybrid battery check from a Toyota dealer, which can extend its warranty. For a car over four years old, the seller must provide a contrôle technique less than six months old and the crossed-out certificat d'immatriculation.
