Does a Tesla have a real automatic gearbox?

No. Each motor drives the wheels through a single fixed reduction gear, so there are no gears to change and no gearbox oil to service. You simply select drive or reverse.

Do a used Tesla's paid software options pass to the next owner?

Software options are tied to the car, yet their transfer after a private sale has not always been automatic. Check on the car's screen which options are active before you agree a price.

What battery warranty does a used Tesla have?

Tesla covers the battery and drive unit for eight years, with a mileage limit that depends on the model and version and a guaranteed capacity of 70%. Whatever remains passes to the new owner.

How is a used Tesla transferred to me?

Besides the change of carte grise, the seller must remove the car from their Tesla account so you can add it to yours and use the app as a key. Agree that this is done at handover.
