Question 1

Is the Corsa F the same car as a Peugeot 208?

Accepted Answer

Underneath, largely: the Corsa F arrived in 2019, after Opel joined PSA, and shares its platform, engines and electric drive with the 208. Its body, interior and tuning are Opel's own.

Question 2

What should I check on a 1.2 PureTech Corsa?

Accepted Answer

The Corsa F's 1.2 petrol is the PureTech three-cylinder, whose timing belt runs in oil and can wear early. Ask for proof of belt checks or replacement and of the correct oil, and ask an Opel dealer whether the car qualifies for Stellantis' extended cover.

Question 3

What matters on a used Corsa-e?

Accepted Answer

The Corsa-e started with a 50 kWh battery, and later cars, renamed Corsa Electric, added a more powerful version with a slightly larger pack. Ask for a battery health report and the battery warranty remaining; as a fully electric car it carries the green Crit'Air sticker.

Question 4

Which Crit'Air sticker does a Corsa get?

Accepted Answer

Petrol Corsas from Euro 5 on carry Crit'Air 1 and diesels from Euro 5 on Crit'Air 2. An older petrol Corsa C or early Corsa D can fall into Crit'Air 2 or 3, which restricts it in low-emission zones.
