Why does the Ioniq 5 charge faster than the Kona Electric?

The Ioniq 5 and Ioniq 6 use Hyundai's E-GMP platform with an 800-volt electrical system, which accepts much higher charging power on compatible fast chargers. The Kona Electric uses a conventional 400-volt system.

Was the Kona Electric battery recalled?

Some early Kona Electrics were recalled over a battery fault, and affected cars had their battery inspected or replaced. A Hyundai dealer can check from the VIN whether any recall is still outstanding.

Does the Hyundai warranty pass to a second owner?

Hyundai's manufacturer warranty follows the car, so it transfers on resale while it is still running. The high-voltage battery has its own, longer cover, and servicing to Hyundai's schedule keeps both valid.

Can an electric Hyundai enter every ZFE?

Yes, a fully electric Hyundai carries the green Crit'Air 0 sticker, which gives access to all low-emission zones in France. The brand's hybrids receive a different sticker.
