Used automatic Ford Ranger pickups in France

Found 1,494 cars

From €8,800 to €119,590, half under €38,990 · Typically 2022 with 55,900 km. An automatic Ranger makes slow off-road work and heavy towing easier, since a torque converter takes the strain that wears out a manual clutch. Before 2019 a six-speed auto pairs with the TDCi engines; from 2019 a ten-speed shared with other Ford trucks took over.

Which Ford Ranger has the ten-speed automatic?

The ten-speed automatic arrived in 2019 with the 2.0 EcoBlue twin-turbo, including the first Ranger Raptor, and is used across the current generation's more powerful versions. Earlier Rangers with the 2.2 or 3.2 TDCi use a six-speed automatic.

Can an automatic Ford Ranger tow as much as a manual?

Yes: most double-cab automatic Rangers are rated to tow up to 3.5 tonnes braked, the same as the manual. Check the figure on the carte grise, as it varies by version.

What should I check on a used automatic Ford Ranger?

Ask whether the gearbox oil was changed, especially on trucks used for towing, as heat is what ages an automatic. On the test drive, shifts should be smooth both cold and warm, with no slipping under load.
