Does the Puma hybrid need charging?

No. It is a mild hybrid whose small 48-volt battery charges itself while braking and coasting. It never runs on electricity alone; the starter-generator only assists the petrol engine.

What is the Puma hybrid's known weak point?

The 1.0 EcoBoost runs its timing belt in engine oil, and the wrong oil or stretched intervals wear it early. Ask for service records showing the specified oil grade and the belt checks Ford prescribes.

Puma hybrid: manual or automatic?

The Puma hybrid comes with a six-speed manual or a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic. Try the automatic at walking pace and while manoeuvring to check for judder.

Which Crit'Air sticker does the Puma hybrid carry?

As a Euro 6 petrol car, the Puma hybrid gets Crit'Air 1, the best class for a combustion engine. That keeps it clear of the low-emission zone restrictions that reach diesels first.
