Which diesel Ford Kuga is best for towing?

The 2.0-litre engines suit towing best: the 2.0 TDCi on the second-generation Kuga and the 2.0 EcoBlue on the third, especially with all-wheel drive. Check the certificat d'immatriculation, which states the maximum braked trailer weight.

What problems do diesel Ford Kugas have?

Short trips clog the particulate filter on any diesel Kuga, and EcoBlue engines also rely on an AdBlue system that must be kept topped up. On second-generation 2.0 TDCi cars, ask whether the EGR valve and particulate filter have been looked after.

Is a diesel Ford Kuga allowed in French low-emission zones?

A diesel Kuga carries the Crit'Air 2 sticker, and each city's low-emission zone decides which stickers it admits and when restrictions tighten. Check the zones you drive into, especially if you live in a large city.
