What should I check before buying a used Ferrari?

Before buying a used Ferrari, check for a complete service history, ideally from the official network, and when the timing belts were last changed on older V8s such as the 360 and F430. A pre-purchase inspection by a Ferrari specialist is money well spent.

Does Ferrari's free maintenance transfer to a used car?

Yes, Ferrari's Genuine Maintenance programme covers scheduled servicing for the first seven years of the car's life and passes to subsequent owners. Work out the remaining period from the first-registration date on the carte grise.

How much does a carte grise cost for a Ferrari in France?

The carte grise for a Ferrari in France is expensive because its price depends on fiscal horsepower and the regional rate. A Ferrari imported from abroad also pays the French malus at its first French registration, reduced according to the car's age.
