Actions

Is the PureTech engine in the DS 3 reliable?

The 1.2 PureTech is economical, but its timing belt, which runs in engine oil, can wear prematurely and shed debris into the lubrication system. Stellantis extended its cover for this fault, so check the car's belt history and whether work was done under that programme.

Which Crit'Air sticker does a petrol DS 3 get?

A petrol DS 3 approved to Euro 5 or Euro 6 gets Crit'Air 1, which covers nearly every car on sale. That sticker gives access to low-emission zones (ZFE) that turn older diesels away.

DS 3 petrol or diesel: which should I choose?

The petrol DS 3 suits drivers who mostly cover short distances, as it has no diesel particulate filter to clog and gets the better Crit'Air sticker. The BlueHDi diesel makes more sense for long, regular motorway runs.
