Question 1

Dacia Duster or Bigster?

Accepted Answer

The Duster is the shorter, cheaper compact SUV and has the widest choice of used examples across three generations. The Bigster is longer, with more rear legroom and boot space, and being newer it is mainly found as a recent car.

Question 2

Where can a Dacia be serviced in France?

Accepted Answer

Dacia sells and services its cars through the Renault group network, and many parts are shared with Renault models. Independent garages also know the engines well, which keeps maintenance costs down.

Question 3

Which fuel suits a used Dacia SUV best?

Accepted Answer

Petrol and LPG ECO-G versions usually qualify for Crit'Air 1, as do the hybrids, which helps in low-emission zones. A diesel tops out at Crit'Air 2 but suits long motorway distances; check the rules of the cities you drive into.

Question 4

Is a Dacia SUV available with four-wheel drive?

Accepted Answer

Yes, both the Duster and the Bigster have been offered with four-wheel drive, though most are front-wheel drive. A 4x4 suits mountain areas and tracks, and the version name and documents say which one you are buying.
