Is the Dacia Sandero a saloon or a hatchback?

It is a five-door hatchback, which French adverts call a berline. The three-box saloon with a separate boot is its sibling, the Dacia Logan.

Should I choose a Dacia Sandero or a Sandero Stepway?

The standard Sandero is lower, lighter and slightly more economical, which suits town and motorway driving. The Stepway adds ground clearance and a tougher look for rough tracks, but not four-wheel drive.

What should I check on a used Dacia Sandero saloon in France?

Look over the paint and plastics for marks, as the finish is basic, and test the air conditioning and every electric window. If the car is over four years old, the seller must provide a contrôle technique under six months old.
