Question 1

Is a diesel Audi Q3 still a sensible buy in France?

Accepted Answer

A TDI suits drivers covering long motorway distances, where its economy is hard to match. Most diesels carry the Crit'Air 2 sticker, which some low-emission zones restrict, so city drivers may be better served by a TFSI or the plug-in hybrid.

Question 2

What is the difference between the Audi Q3 and the Q3 Sportback?

Accepted Answer

The Sportback, added in 2019, has a lower, sloping roofline and a sportier look. It shares engines and equipment with the regular Q3 but gives up a little rear headroom and boot height.

Question 3

Do I need quattro all-wheel drive on an Audi Q3?

Accepted Answer

Front-wheel drive is enough for most French roads and is lighter on fuel. Quattro earns its keep in the mountains, when towing or on wet rural roads.

Question 4

What paperwork should come with a used Audi Q3?

Accepted Answer

The seller hands over the carte grise crossed out and signed, a certificat de cession and, for a car over four years old, a contrôle technique less than six months old. A dealer handles the change of keeper for you; in a private sale you file it online yourself.
