Question 1

Does the T-Cross have four-wheel drive?

Accepted Answer

No. Every T-Cross is front-wheel drive, so it is a raised car for town and open road rather than an off-roader. Buyers who need 4x4 should look at the Tiguan.

Question 2

How does the T-Cross differ from the T-Roc?

Accepted Answer

The T-Cross is shorter and based on the Polo, while the T-Roc uses the Golf's platform and offers stronger engines and all-wheel drive. The T-Cross answers with its sliding rear bench and a more upright, roomy cabin.

Question 3

Is the 1.0 TSI powerful enough for the T-Cross?

Accepted Answer

The stronger versions of the 1.0 TSI cope well with motorway driving and a loaded car, while the 95 hp one is happiest in town. With just under a litre of displacement, it keeps IUC moderate.

Question 4

Is there a diesel T-Cross?

Accepted Answer

A 1.6 TDI was offered in the first years and then dropped, so diesel examples are relatively rare. For mostly urban driving the petrol versions are the more natural fit anyway.
