Is the Toyota C-HR automatic gearbox reliable?

Yes, the e-CVT in the C-HR hybrids is a simple transmission, built around a planetary gearset with no clutches or belts. It has few wearing parts and needs no special maintenance beyond Toyota's schedule.

Why does the Toyota C-HR automatic rev high when accelerating?

That is how the e-CVT works: under full throttle the engine revs up and holds there while speed rises, which sounds like slipping but is normal. In gentle driving, the electric motor masks the effect.

Which Toyota C-HR versions have an automatic gearbox?

Every C-HR hybrid, 1.8 and 2.0, and the second-generation plug-in is automatic. In the first generation, the 1.2 turbo petrol came with either a six-speed manual or a CVT.
