Is a manual Skoda more reliable than a DSG?

Generally, yes: a manual gearbox has fewer parts and no mechatronic unit. The seven-speed dry-clutch DSG fitted to the less powerful engines is the one with the most faults on used cars.

Which used Skoda models come with a manual gearbox?

Almost the whole combustion range: Fabia, Scala, Octavia, Kamiq, Karoq and Superb all had manual versions. The electric models, such as the Enyaq, are always automatic.

How can you tell if a used Skoda's clutch is worn?

A clutch that slips on hills or only bites at the top of the pedal travel is near the end. On a diesel Skoda, judder when pulling away usually points to the dual-mass flywheel, which is replaced with the clutch.
