Is the Renault Captur 1.5 dCi engine reliable?

Yes, the Captur's 1.5 dCi is one of Renault's most common diesels and usually covers high mileages without major failures. The points to watch are the injectors and, in town use, the particulate filter.

Does the Renault Captur Blue dCi need AdBlue?

Yes, the second-generation Captur Blue dCi uses AdBlue to cut nitrogen oxides and has its own tank for the additive. If it runs dry, the car warns the driver and will eventually refuse to restart.

Is the Renault Captur still sold new as a diesel?

No, the Captur facelifted in 2024 has no diesel version, only petrol and E-Tech hybrids. A diesel Captur is therefore always a used car.
