Question 1

Is the European Arkana the same as the one sold in Russia?

Accepted Answer

No. The Arkana sold in Russia from 2019 sits on a different, older platform and has different engines. The European car, launched in 2021, shares its CMF-B underpinnings with the Clio and Captur.

Question 2

Should I buy a mild hybrid or an E-Tech full hybrid Arkana?

Accepted Answer

The 1.3 TCe mild hybrid suits motorway driving and feels conventional with its dual-clutch gearbox. The E-Tech full hybrid can cover short distances on electric power and is most economical in town, though its multi-mode gearbox can feel unusual at first.

Question 3

How practical is the Arkana for a family?

Accepted Answer

The boot is generous for the class and rear legroom is good, but the sloping roof cuts headroom for taller passengers in the back. On the E-Tech, the battery takes away some boot space.

Question 4

What does an Arkana cost to run in Portugal?

Accepted Answer

The IUC is based on engine size and CO2, both modest on these 1.3 and 1.6 petrol engines. An Arkana brought in from another EU country pays ISV before it is entered at the Registo Automóvel.
