Question 1

Does a used Taycan pay road tax in Portugal?

Accepted Answer

No. Fully electric cars are exempt from IUC, the annual road tax, and pay no ISV when registered in Portugal, even when imported from another EU country. Only the usual transfer and inspection costs apply.

Question 2

How long is the Taycan battery warranty?

Accepted Answer

Porsche covers the high-voltage battery for eight years or 160,000 km, whichever comes first, from first registration. Check how much of that cover remains and ask a Porsche centre for a battery health report before buying.

Question 3

Where can a Taycan be charged in Portugal?

Accepted Answer

Public charging runs through the Mobi.E network, and a growing number of high-power stations along the motorways can use the Taycan's fast-charging capability. Most owners also fit a wallbox at home, so check which on-board AC charger the car has.

Question 4

What is the difference between the Taycan Sport Turismo and Cross Turismo?

Accepted Answer

Both are estate-style Taycans with a longer roof and more rear headroom than the saloon. The Cross Turismo adds raised suspension and body cladding for gravel roads, while the Sport Turismo keeps the saloon's road-focused ride height.
