Is the Peugeot 3008 1.2 PureTech engine reliable?

It is economical and pleasant, but its oil-bathed timing belt can break down early and clog the oil pump. The maker shortened the replacement interval, so check when it was changed and which oil was used.

Peugeot 3008 petrol or diesel: which should I choose?

Petrol makes more sense for low mileage or mostly town driving, since it avoids the diesel particulate filter and AdBlue. For high mileage on open roads, the diesel still uses less fuel.

Does the Peugeot 3008 1.6 THP have known problems?

Older 1.6 THP engines in the first generation became known for timing chain wear and oil consumption. The 165 hp THP in the second generation is sturdier, but a full service history still matters.
