Which Opel Insignia diesel engine is the most reliable?

In the second generation, the 2.0 diesel and the 1.6 CDTI are seen as well balanced, with modest consumption. In the first, the 2.0 CDTI covers high mileages but needs an eye on the dual-mass flywheel and EGR valve.

What is the difference between the Opel Insignia A and Insignia B?

The 2017 Insignia B is lighter, roomier in the back and better equipped with driver aids, including optional IntelliLux matrix headlights. The A is cheaper and mechanically simpler.

Does a diesel Opel Insignia pay more road tax in Portugal?

Yes: in Portugal, diesel cars pay a surcharge on top of the IUC, added to the amount based on engine size and CO2. On a 2.0 Insignia, engine size weighs more than on a 1.5 or 1.6.
