Question 1

Which new Volkswagen electric cars are sold in Portugal?

Accepted Answer

Volkswagen's electric range brings together the compact ID. Polo and ID.3, the ID. Cross and ID.4 SUVs and the ID.7, the largest of the family. All use the group's MEB family of electric platforms.

Question 2

Does a new Volkswagen electric car pay ISV and IUC in Portugal?

Accepted Answer

No: Volkswagen ID. models, like any fully electric car, are exempt from ISV when bought and from IUC every year. For companies, the VAT can be deductible within a purchase-cost limit.

Question 3

What changes between versions of a Volkswagen ID.?

Accepted Answer

The main difference is the battery, which sets the range, and the power of the electric motor. Equipment steps up by trim, as on other Volkswagens, with the top versions adding more driver assistance and comfort.

Question 4

Is a new Volkswagen electric car worth buying?

Accepted Answer

For drivers who charge at home or at work, a new ID. is cheap to run and pays neither ISV nor IUC. It carries the full factory warranty and the battery has its own, longer warranty, but a new car depreciates most in its first years.
