Question 1

Which engines does the new Volkswagen T-Roc have?

Accepted Answer

The new T-Roc is sold with the 1.5 eTSI mild hybrid with 116 or 150 hp and a DSG gearbox, and with the 1.5 TSI hybrid with 136 or 170 hp. The T-Roc Cabrio uses the 150 hp 1.5 TSI, with a manual or DSG gearbox.

Question 2

What is the difference between the T-Roc eTSI and the T-Roc hybrid?

Accepted Answer

The eTSI is a mild hybrid that assists the petrol engine but cannot drive on electricity. The 136 or 170 hp hybrid is a full hybrid, which runs on electricity at low speeds and recharges its own battery, with no plug.

Question 3

Is the Volkswagen T-Roc Cabrio still sold new?

Accepted Answer

Yes, the T-Roc Cabrio remains on sale with the 150 hp 1.5 TSI, in Style and R-Line trims. It is one of the few convertible SUVs on the market and the only T-Roc still offered with a manual gearbox.

Question 4

Does a new Volkswagen T-Roc pay ISV and IUC in Portugal?

Accepted Answer

Yes, every T-Roc version pays ISV at first registration and IUC every year, both based on engine size and CO2 emissions. The hybrid versions, with lower emissions, tend to pay less on the environmental component.
